Nowhere in Germany is there a higher density of research institutions than in the capital region of Berlin-Brandenburg. Seven universities, 21 polytechnic universities as well as around 250 research institutes and 42 technology centres offer you diverse cooperation possibilities. Berlin-Brandenburg is a traditional scientific location. Twenty-nine Nobel Prize winners have been associated with Berlin universities. With 50,000 scientists, today about 10 to 15% of the scientific human resources of Germany are concentrated in the region.
